Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Targets Program in Rancho Bernardo, CA seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer Aeronautic to lead the Vehicle Management Subsystem (VMS) hardware avionics effort. You will drive architecture, requirements, and design, coordinating with GNC, Mechanical, and Program Management teams.

The role demands a background in avionics hardware, power distribution, and embedded systems, with a Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) required.
• Master's in STEM with 3+ years of experience or PhD with related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and SAP.

Responsabilités

• Lead system level trade studies and architecture development with trade reports.
• Translate mission needs into hardware requirements and maintain ICDs.
• Size harnesses and assess integration constraints across mechanical, thermal, environmental.
