Job summary

ITG Communications in Raleigh, NC is looking for an experienced Aerial Telecom Lineman to perform skilled aerial construction and maintenance for fiber and copper networks. You will lead crews, ensure safety, and execute projects per plans and safety rules.

Regional travel and night/weekend availability may be required. The role emphasizes leadership, quality, and productivity while upholding NESC standards and client specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Telecommunications or lineman training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for specified vehicle(s).
• 3+ years of aerial telecom construction experience.
• Experience reading telecom prints and design maps.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerial telecommunications construction activities including pole climbing, strand placement, cable placement, and lashing of fiber or copper cables.
• Lead and direct groundmen and crew members in aerial construction activities.
• Interpret and follow telecommunications construction plans, design maps, and fiber route documentation.
• Install aerial telecom infrastructure including messenger strand, fiber optic cable, copper cable, anchors, hardware, and related components.
• Operate bucket trucks, utility vehicles, and specialized aerial construction equipment.
• Ensure installation practices comply with NESC, company standards, and client specifications.
