Lead with Purpose. Partner with Impact.

Over the years, Curo Private Wealth has grown thoughtfully and intentionally. Each chapter of our firm's story has been guided by the same commitment: to deliver the highest quality service and to build lasting relationships with clients who deserve a partner who truly cares. The Latin word curo translates literally to "to care for" or "to pay attention to." We chose that name deliberately, because it reflects everything we believe about the way financial planning should feel.

Every Curo client is treated like a close friend. We genuinely care about your well-being, not just your account balance. Our relationships go far beyond the numbers on a statement. We feel it is a privilege to be trusted with what matters most in your life, and every advisor and team member at this firm shows up each day committed to earning that trust.

The Lead Advisor Leads and manages advisory support team members while overseeing client relationships and delivering financial planning, investment analysis, recommendations, and trade execution under senior oversight to drive client service excellence, retention, and growth.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the client relationship as primary point of contact. Build and deepen trust and drive retention, expansion of wallet share and referrals.
  • Lead investment strategy for clients: Investment Committee participation, portfolio management, and investment proposals.
  • Own the financial plan and its delivery to the client. Planning execution runs through the advisory support team.
  • Own the client experience and the tools that power it: CRM, planning software, and client-facing technology.
  • Lead and manage the advisory support roles. Set clear expectations, manage to them, and hold the team accountable.
  • Put the client first in every recommendation, even when it is the harder path. Know the details of their life and goals, and lead every interaction with empathy.
  • Own the client's outcome, not just the meeting, guiding them towards their wealth goals. Actively assess risks and opportunities to anticipate client or firm needs.
  • Bring real depth to planning and investments, creating tailored strategies for diverse client needs. Maintain high advice quality, and keep sharpening your skillset as markets and planning evolve.
  • Ask the questions that uncover what the client truly needs. Understand before you advise, and adopt tools and ideas that serve clients better.
  • Lead the Service Advisors and advisory support team with clarity and respect. Share credit, communicate openly, and put client and firm success ahead of personal glory.
What You Bring:
  • 5+ years in a client-facing advisory or wealth management role.
  • Required licenses/registrations: Series 7, Series 66 or equivalent; CFP®
  • Strong financial planning experience and knowledge of investment management principles and portfolio oversight.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or directing support staff.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills to engage clients and represent the firm effectively.
  • Ability to travel to Richmond, VA area, as needed for client events; open to hire in Reston VA or Rockville, MD.

Compensation: Salary range is generally $140k to $160K. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.

Benefits to support you:

  • Competitive pay and benefits with a large employer (over 1600 employees nationwide)
  • 401(k), health insurance, and a competitive benefits package
  • Work in a supportive, collaborative environment committed to professional excellence
  • Help clients navigate meaningful financial decisions with confidence
  • Opportunities for training, development, and long-term growth within the firm
