Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Data Engineer/Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across APIs, databases, and event streams. You will develop curated datasets and models to support analytics and reporting, applying best-practice data architecture and data quality checks.

You will collaborate with security and platform teams to ensure safe data handling, governance, and observability while contributing to reusable frameworks and CI/CD automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend development with significant data work.
• Advanced SQL and proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• Hands-on experience with orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Spark, or similar).
• Experience with cloud data ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data storage/compute services (data lake/warehouse).
• Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling and/or other modern modeling approaches).
• Solid engineering practices: Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and clear documentation.

• Collaborate with platform/security teams to implement access controls and safe handling of data.
• Contribute to documentation, reusable frameworks, code standards, and CI/CD automation.

Summary

Analytics, Reporting, Data Wrangling, creation of dashboard for web and omni channel activities. This role will focus specifically on Support activities reporting and analytics. Responsible for reporting KPI and operational detail. Working with partners to ensure data is available to be captured so it can be reported. Key Responsibilities

Apply data architecture best practices (ingestion patterns, schema evolution, data contracts, lake/warehouse organization). Implement data quality checks, observability/monitoring, lineage, and SLAs; troubleshoot pipeline issues end-to-end. Optimize data performance and cost (partitioning, clustering, file formats, query tuning, compute sizing) Collaborate with platform/security teams to implement access controls and safe handling of sensitive data Contribute to documentation, reusable frameworks, code standards, and CI/CD automation. Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions.

Required Qualifications

5-7 years (or equivalent) experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend development with significant data work. Advanced SQL and proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, or Scala). Hands‑on experience with orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Datbricks, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Spark, or similar). Experience with cloud data ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data storage/compute services (data lake/warehouse). Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling and/or other modern modeling approaches). Solid engineering practices: Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and clear documentation. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
