Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an Assistant Program Supervisor to help coordinate Adult Day Services and support the staff delivering meaningful participant experiences. This role blends hands-on coordination with leadership to promote independence and community connection for adults with developmental disabilities.

Location: Tuckerton/Toms River/Lakewood, NJ; Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; Pay: $26.00 per hour; Bi-Weekly pay; Overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field.
• At least two years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in direct support, vocational, or adult day program settings.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with no more than five points.
• Ability to complete background screenings and comply with drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily program schedules and activities to support safe, effective service delivery.
• Collaborate with program leadership to uphold participant care standards and overall program performance.
• Assist with staffing requirements, workflow coordination, and communication to provide guidance and resources for priorities.
• Coach and guide program staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
• Track participant progress toward individualized goals and support skill development in daily living and vocational areas.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field
