Job summary

Clementine NorthShore in Northport, NY is seeking a Primary Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary treatment team. This full-time role supports adolescents with eating disorders through individual, group, and family therapy and coordinates care with families and outpatient providers.

You will participate in discharge planning, provide therapeutic meal support, and collaborate to ensure a compassionate, inclusive treatment environment for each client’s unique journey.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical counseling or related discipline.
• State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC).
• Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is helpful.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual, group, and family therapy
• Serving as liaison with families and outpatient providers
• Interact with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
• Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
• Therapeutic meal support, while modeling a healthy relationship with food
• Provides safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client and their unique circumstance based on the clients' intersecting identities
• Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.
