Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle is seeking a Shift Leader for Additive Manufacturing Post-Processing on the C shift. You will lead a team of post-processing technicians and machinists, align priorities with engineers and quality, and maintain 5S practices to meet build commitments.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with 1–3+ years of leadership, GD&T reading, EDM/bandsaw experience, and strong communication in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing operations with 1-3+ years leading technicians on off-shift operations.
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings and GD&T; in-process inspection experience.
• Experience with EDMs, bandsaws and basic machining; tensile specimen prep a plus.
• Strong communication, prioritization and problem-solving in a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of post-processing technicians and machinists across the C/D shift; set priorities and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Coordinate priorities with manufacturing engineers, planners and quality to meet build plans and dates.
• Identify blockers, enforce safety policies for metal AM post-processing, and sustain 5S/visual management.
• Stage AM hardware for outplant processing and coordinate with vendors to resolve certification requirements.
• Perform comprehensive quality control, inspect parts and support continuous improvement initiatives.
