Job summary

Eaton’s AER HQ in North Charleston, SC, seeks a Manufacturing Lead Engineer - Additive to lead quality and inspection development for metal additive manufacturing programs. You will partner with design, quality and process specialists to establish robust inspection methods and manufacturing controls for flight-critical components.

Responsibilities include defining inspection strategies, DF/DFM initiatives, and MRB disposition, while driving continuous improvement on the shop floor and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years experience leading component manufacturing quality and inspection development.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications and product requirements with GD&T, data-muming, and inspection planning.
• Develop robust manufacturing, inspection, fixturing, gaging, heat treatment and surface finishing strategies.
• Drive DFM and DFI initiatives with engineering teams, customers and suppliers.
• Lead MRB activities and provide technical disposition for nonconforming product.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement.
• Support MES and digital manufacturing initiatives to improve process control and production visibility.
