Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMS - Target Rock seeks an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop and execute Additive Manufactured components and assemblies. You will coordinate with Design/Drafting, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding and Project Engineering groups to advance additive methods and tooling.

The role requires a BS in engineering, CAD experience, and knowledge of additive tech, with a focus on manufacturability and qualification testing for defense-related components.

Qualifications

  • Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Welding, or Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of two years of 2D/3D CAD experience.
  • Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing technologies and industry requirements.
  • Knowledge of computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Knowledge of analysis techniques (tolerance/fit-up, structural, thermal, flow).
  • Working knowledge of NAVSEA 250-1500-1, ASME B&PV Code and related standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Project Manager for internally and externally funded design/development programs.
  • Develop new manufacturing methods for producing valve components via Additive Manufacturing.
  • Review specifications for compliance with proposed Additive Manufacturing technologies.
  • Evaluate and implement new Additive technologies and equipment.
  • Prepare 3D models, 2D layouts, assemblies and detail drawings.
  • Define and execute qualification test programs for Additive Manufactured components/assemblies.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Welding and Quality Control to ensure manufacturability and inspectability.
