Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking an experienced actuary to support pricing for Executive Benefits products, including COLI/BOLI and PPLI. You will develop models, set assumptions, and perform profitability analyses while coordinating with product management, risk, and leadership.

You will maintain pricing tools, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to special projects across finance and enterprise risk. A strong technical background and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in actuarial positions.
  • FSA credential preferred.
  • MG-ALFA modeling experience preferred; Andesa familiarity a plus.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Comfort communicating across teams and levels of seniority.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pricing analysis for new/ redesigned EB contracts, including COLI/BOLI and PPLI.

The Role at a Glance

The primary purpose of this role is pricing support for Lincoln's Executive Benefits (EB) products, including COLI/BOLI and PPLI. You will contribute to the design, modeling, assumption setting, analysis, and state filing/regulatory compliance for new products, as well as regular rate-setting (crediting rates) and profitability analysis for existing, inforce products. You will have the opportunity to present your work to various stakeholders, including product management, pricing review, risk management, and senior leadership. You will work on products developed in partnership with the EB distribution team and will work across business units and functions, including finance and enterprise risk management.

What you'll be doing

Pricing Analysis

  • Perform pricing analysis for new/redesigned Executive Benefits contracts and rider benefits, including COLI/BOLI and PPLI products.
  • Determine appropriate assumptions and how to model new product features.
  • Develop pricing strategies and provide consultation/clarification on actuarial models and risk issues.
  • Collaborate with the product development and distribution teams on product design to meet or exceed profitability and sales objectives.
  • Direct, develop, and/or run complex pricing models and analysis using MG-ALFA and product illustration software (Andesa) for EB contracts and rider benefits.
  • Present results of analysis to team members, key business partners, and management.

Risk Analysis

  • Analyze risk management strategies, and various reserve and capital requirements.
  • Evaluate the impact of potential product design changes on the reserve and/or capital requirement, profitability, and tail risks.

Actuarial/ Technical Support

  • Maintain existing actuarial pricing models and tools, and proactively identify and implement improvements. Develop tools and support product/relationship managers according to business needs.
  • Provide actuarial support for state filing, tax qualification and regulatory compliance for EB products.

Pricing Documentation

  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing pricing analysis and results, including crediting rates, and documentation of assumptions and methodology.

Special Projects

  • Participate in ad hoc projects related to product development, implementation, inforce management, and corporate risk management initiatives.
What we’re looking for
  • 6+ years of experience in Actuarial positions
  • Preferred to have FSA credential
  • MG-ALFA modeling experience preferred; experience with product illustration software (e.g., Andesa) a plus
  • Strong technical skills
  • Comfort working with and communicating across various teams and levels of seniority
  • Capability to be productive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and responsibilities

The pay range for this position is$120,375 - $192,600with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
