Job summary

North American Search Group is seeking an experienced actuarial data scientist to design, build, and deploy advanced predictive pricing models and segmentation strategies. You will lead the development of models for pricing, loss costs, acquisition, retention, and conversion, while mentoring junior team members.

You will partner with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and IT to translate business goals into compliant, data-driven pricing solutions, ensuring rigorous documentation and regulatory

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in actuarial pricing and data science roles.
• ACAS or FCAS credential required or on track toward credential.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong Python proficiency; familiarity with other modeling tools.

• Model Development & Execution: Build and deploy complex predictive models focusing on pricing segmentation, loss costs, acquisition, retention, and conversion.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide model design, establish execution plans, evaluate emerging data science tools, and mentor junior predictive modelers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and IT teams to translate business strategies into compliant, data-driven pricing solutions.
• Regulatory & Governance Oversight: Ensure all projects maintain rigorous documentation, adhere to legal and regulatory standards, and support timely rate filings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years experience
• ACAS or FCAS
• Advanced SQL skills and strong Python proficiency (alongside familiarity with other modern modeling and statistical software).
