Qualifications

• Experience with physics-based underwater acoustic propagation modeling tools.
• Development of end-to-end acoustic analysis workflows integrating models and MATLAB.
• Experience evaluating acoustic system design and performance for ocean propagation.
• Experience applying acoustic modeling to seabed systems or underwater channels.
• Converting model outputs into engineering artifacts and performance budgets.
• Experience with MBSE and DOORS; familiarity with MBSE toolchains.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review program objectives, interfaces, and operations for acoustics work.
• Define requirements with MBSE processes and ensure traceability.
• Develop models of sonar system performance using ocean acoustics principles.
• Collaborate on system specifications, interfaces, analyses, and designs.
• Prepare artifacts for design reviews and coordinate with customers/subcontractors.
• Support SE execution (cost, schedule, technical) and risk mitigation.
• Validate models against legacy tools and benchmarks for fidelity.
• Brief status and results to program and customers; participate in sea trials.
