Job summary

AT&T in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Lead Accountant for a full-time onsite role. You will ensure the accuracy of financial statements, lead month-end close, and oversee general ledger activities, while supporting tax planning and maintaining strong internal controls in line with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• General Ledger and Accounting Operations: Maintain accounting systems, oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Support compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations; coordinate tax returns and filings.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls; ensure adherence to policies; coordinate audits.
• Additional Responsibilities: Cash-flow management, budgeting, process improvements, stakeholder communication, and leadership tasks.
