Job summary

United Systems and Software (USSI) in Florida seeks a Lead Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including cash activity, reconciliations, and journal entries. You will work with the Executive Management Team to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, experience with ERP systems, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting daily cash activity transactions and ensuring accurate recording of cash receipts and disbursements.
• Completing timely bank and general ledger reconciliations monthly; investigate discrepancies.
• Preparing and posting journal entries including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes and audit readiness.
• Assisting with financial reporting, management reports, and ad hoc analyses.
• Assisting with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and collections follow-up.
• Supporting internal and external audits with documentation and schedules.
• Performing additional accounting, administrative, and analytical duties as needed.
