Job summary

NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND seeks a Lead Accountant for the Navy ERP Business Office to guide financial operations and optimize ERP services. You will lead efforts to represent requirements and collaborate with SMEs across Finance functions to ensure effective deployment of Navy ERP capabilities.

You will perform analyses with users to facilitate integration of new releases and enhancements, while contributing to ongoing assessment of NAV System’s asset utilization and reporting of program

• Mentor and guide team members; collaborate with SMEs representing diverse Finance functions in Navy ERP.
• Coordinate with other Navy Systems Commands to ensure NAVAIR needs are considered in Navy ERP software.
• Perform business analyses and planning with users to integrate new releases and enhancements into the Financial Module.
• Support ongoing assessment of Navy ERP asset utilization with NBO leads and Finance Team Lead.
• Provide reporting on program efficiency/effectiveness to reporting seniors and Finance community managers.

Position Description

You will serve as a Lead Accountant for the Command's Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Office (NBO) of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will participate in and leads team efforts to represent and advocate for the operational requirements of the NAVAIR Finance community to optimize the services provided by Navy ERP.
• You will lead supporting team members and works closely/collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), who are representative of the numerous and varied functional communities served by Navy ERP’s Finance capabilities.
• You will collaborate with professional peers representing other Navy Systems Commands to ensure NAVAIR’s particular operational requirements and priorities receive appropriate consideration and are properly represented in Navy ERP software.
• You will perform business analyses and planning in collaboration with users to facilitate integration of these new releases and software enhancements into the Financial Module.
• You will participate with other NBO functional team leads and the Finance Team Lead in continuing/comprehensive assessment of NAVAIR’s utilization of Navy ERP assets.
• You will ensure reporting seniors and Finance community managers are informed of quantitative measures of program efficiency/effectiveness in supporting mission-essential operations.
