Job Title: Lead Access Control Installer

Company: Tek Systems

Tek Systems is seeking a skilled Lead Access Control Installer to join their growing team. This role focuses on the installation and maintenance of access control systems—including door strikes and magnetic locks—in commercial environments. While deep programming knowledge isn't required, exposure and a willingness to learn are important. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. This position includes a company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install and test access control systems such as door strikes and magnetic locks
2. Perform cutting and fitting of hardware for proper installation
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues
4. Conduct routine maintenance and system inspections
5. Collaborate with clients to tailor solutions to their needs
6. Maintain thorough documentation for all installs and services
7. Stay informed on advancements in access control and security tech
8. Travel to job sites (must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record)

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in security and access control systems installation
• Proficient with door strike and mag lock setups
• Comfortable working in commercial environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Certifications in security systems/access control are preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment
• Willing to work at heights and in tight spaces
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
