Job summary

Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA seeks a Board-Certified, da Vinci trained Physician Leader to establish a new, full-service Urology Center within Ballad Health. The role blends clinical leadership with strategic program development in a supportive community setting.

The successful candidate will oversee adult urology services, lead a surgical team for robotic-assisted procedures, and partner with hospital and system leadership to deliver a regional Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Board-certified urologist with valid license to practice in Virginia.
• Experience leading a surgical team and coordinating multi-disciplinary care.
• Robotic-assisted surgery expertise and OR leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a new Urology Center at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
• Oversee clinic operations and surgical services four days per week.
• Collaborate with Ballad Health leadership to deliver a regional Center of Excellence.

Johnston Memorial Hospital (JMH) and Ballad Health Medical Associates located in Abingdon, VA are currently seeking a Board-Certified, da Vinci Trained, Physician Leader to establish our brand-new, full-service, community-supported Urology Center. Candidate will join a wonderful medical community with supportive administration. JMH also houses both internal and family medicine residencies, so the opportunity to inspire the next generation of physicians exists here in the stunning mountains of Southwest Virginia.

Located in Abingdon, Virginia, Johnston Memorial Hospital is a 116-bed modern medical facility serving Southwest Virginia.
