Qualifications

• 6+ years of automotive repair experience; A-Level preferred.
• Advanced diagnostic and wiring-diagram interpretation skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service abilities.
• Ability to mentor interns and less-experienced technicians.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required; Asian-vehicle experience and lead-tech background considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting, including drivability and electrical diagnosis.
• Diagnose complex vehicle issues and perform repairs and maintenance.
• Read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical concerns.
• Conduct Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) and document vehicle needs.
• Handle difficult repairs, including engine/transmission work as needed; internal transmission rebuilding not required.
• Mentor interns and junior technicians on diagnostic work.
• Participate in end-of-day workload reviews and coordinate job distribution.
• Provide occasional service-advisor support, including customer-facing communication and parts research.
