Emerald Academy in Knoxville seeks an innovative Lead Teacher for 8th Grade Algebra 1 & Math to guide students toward college readiness and leadership. The role is 1 block of Algebra and two blocks of 8th-grade math in a student-centered, data-informed environment.

The ideal candidate holds Tennessee middle grades math licensure, with willingness to add Algebra endorsement; collaboration and growth mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Tennessee Teacher License for middle grades math.
• Willingness to add on an Algebra endorsement if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1 block of Algebra and two blocks of 8th math.
• Design rigorous lessons focused on mastery and student achievement.
• Build strong partnerships with families through calls, conferences, and visits.
