Job summary

The University of Florida UF/IFAS Extension seeks a permanent-status Extension Agent (12-month) to design and deliver a countywide 4-H Youth Development program aligned with Florida 4-H priorities. You will lead a dynamic program that promotes positive youth development and life skills.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with relevant experience.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Florida DCF Level 2 background screening is required.
Ability to plan, teach, and evaluate non-formal educational programs.

Responsibilities

Lead a countywide 4-H Youth Development program aligned with statewide priorities.
Deliver programming through multiple formats (clubs, in-school, afterschool, camps).
Recruit, train, and support 4-H volunteers and supervise staff where applicable.
Build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, community groups, local government, and youth-serving entities.
Collaborate with county Extension colleagues and statewide teams.
Develop outreach and document outcomes and impact for leadership.
