Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn, AL seeks a Senior Propulsion System Virtual Engineer to guide design teams and analyze propulsion components using CFD tools to ensure functional objectives are met.

You will build and exercise analytical models, retrieve CAD data for CFD work, present results to peers and leadership, and help advance analysis methods while staying current with propulsion technology. A strong background in combustion system development and collaboration with test teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in CFD simulations on propulsion systems with focus on combustion system development.
• Experience with engineering analysis tools for propulsion systems modeling and simulation (e.g. Converge, Ansa, Star-CCM+).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Analyze propulsion components/systems to ensure functional objectives are met.
• Build and exercise analytical CFD models for propulsion systems.
• Retrieve and modify CAD models to support CFD model development.
• Collaborate with design teams and present results to peers and management.
• Improve analysis practices and tools with method development teams.
• Stay abreast of new propulsion technologies and competitive products.
