Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks an experienced Manufacturing / Workstation Layout Lead Engineer to guide an engineering team in designing, validating, and implementing optimized 2D/3D workstation layouts. You will lead launch readiness efforts, ensure tooling integration aligns with lean principles, oversee contractor installations, and drive continuous improvement across assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience supporting vehicle assembly line design or new model product launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team to develop 2D and 3D workstation layouts using AutoCAD, aligning with production flow and plant constraints.
• Coordinate data for ergonomic assessments and reach studies to verify operator comfort and safety.
• Validate station documentation, drawing revisions, and design change logs.
• Drive launch deliverables and overall station readiness.
• Balance line workloads with Launch Industrial Engineers and meet takt targets.
• Participate in pilot builds and process validation to verify layouts and resolve issues.
• Support updates to PFMEA, work instructions, and tooling layouts as design changes are implemented.
