Job summary

ATEK Metal Technologies is seeking a proactive 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations at our New Hampton, IA facility. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to support new product launches and continuous improvement.

The role demands hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance during new product launches and trials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Daily Production: supervise and coordinate activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Support New Product Launches and Engineering Trials: partner with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to ensure smooth transitions into production.
• Develop and Engage Employees: train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders while promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Be Flexible and Proactive: anticipate production needs and adapt to changing priorities to resolve issues before they impact operations.
• Monitor Performance: track KPIs, identify gaps, and take corrective actions to achieve results.
• Lead with Safety and Accountability: uphold safety, quality standards and hold employees accountable.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to reduce downtime and waste, increase efficiency.
• Collaborate Across Departments and Shifts: maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams and ensure effective handoffs.
