Job summary

ATEK Metal Technologies LLC in New Hampton, IA, is seeking a proactive 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations and support new product launches. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to maintain safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and adaptability to evolving production needs, with a focus on coaching and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production: supervise and coordinate activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Support new product launches and engineering trials: partner with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to ensure smooth transitions into production.
• Develop and engage employees: train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders while promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Monitor performance: track production KPIs, identify gaps, and take corrective action to achieve results.
• Lead with safety and accountability: champion a culture of safety, quality, and respect by setting clear expectations and leading by example.
• Drive continuous improvement: identify opportunities to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate across departments and shifts: maintain strong communication with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams for smooth shift handoffs.
• Maintain safety and quality standards: ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, LOTO, and quality requirements.

This role requires someone who can balance day-to-day production demands with changing priorities, take initiative, and work closely with other departments to drive results.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Daily Production: Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.Support New Product Launches and Engineering Trials: Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support new product introductions/trials, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure smooth transitions into production.Develop and Engage Employees: Train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders while promoting accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.Be Flexible and Proactive: Anticipate production needs, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and take initiative to resolve issues before they impact operations.Monitor Performance: Track production KPIs, identify performance gaps, and take timely corrective action to achieve results.Lead with Safety and Accountability: Champion a culture of safety, quality, and respect by setting clear expectations, leading by example, and holding employees accountable.Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and increase overall efficiency.Collaborate Across Departments and Shifts: Maintain strong communication with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other production teams to support operational goals and ensure effective shift handoffs.Maintain Safety and Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, LOTO requirements, and established quality standards.What We're Looking ForProven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
