Position SummaryThe Lead Staff is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership. This role provides supervision to clinical staff, supports program development, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.In addition to core clinical and leadership responsibilities, this role includes ongoing coordination with the corporate office, participation in organizational meetings, and support with staffing logistics and reporting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical LeadershipProvide oversight and guidance for behavioral health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planningEnsure evidence-based practices are implemented across all servicesReview and monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and complianceSupport crisis intervention and risk management as neededTeam Supervision & DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and evaluate behavioral health staff (PSI, DCS, DSP, RBT)Facilitate regular team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision sessionsIdentify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunitiesFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environmentProgram ManagementAssist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health plansMonitor program performance metrics and outcomesEnsure services meet organizational goals and community needsSupport quality improvement initiativesCompliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policiesConduct audits and implement corrective actions when necessaryCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with medical providers, social services, and external partnersServe as a liaison between behavioral health staff and leadership, including the corporate officeParticipate in interdisciplinary care planningAttend and actively participate in required corporate meetings, including a minimum of one corporate meeting per weekAdministrative DutiesAssist with staffing, scheduling, and workload managementSupport call-off coverage coordination, including assisting in identifying appropriate staff coverage as neededContribute to budgeting and resource allocationPrepare and submit required reports and documentation to corporate leadership, including weekly and monthly reporting related to client care, program performance, and operational metricsMaintain consistent communication with corporate leadership regarding program updates, staffing needs, and client care concerns#CALI1 #cali1EducationAA degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferredExperience2+ years of experience in behavioral health1–2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsKnowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage crises and make sound clinical decisionsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage administrative responsibilities, including reporting and coordination with corporate teamsWork EnvironmentClinical or community-based setting (e.g., outpatient clinic, hospital, or nonprofit organization)Requires regular participation in virtual meetings and ongoing coordination with corporate officeMay require occasional evenings or on-call support#CALI1 #cali1
