Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post Partum (LDRP). The role provides comprehensive care across the childbirth continuum, fostering mother-baby bonding and teamwork with physicians and other specialists.

The ideal candidate holds a TN RN license with 2+ years in LDRP, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within 90 days of hire. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and shift differentials.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
Current and unrestricted RN license in Tennessee
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification within 90 days of hire
Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience, including surgical assisting

Responsibilities

Assess laboring mothers, monitor fetal status, manage pain, and vital signs.
Develop individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
Provide continuous labor support and patient education throughout labor and postpartum.
Assist vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed; maintain sterile fields and administer medications.
Care for newborns including routine screenings and early bonding; educate families.
