Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) Clinical Registered Nurse. The RN will provide comprehensive perinatal care, including labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care, reporting to the Clinical Unit Supervisor of Perinatal Services.

Qualifications

• BSN required; if not yet completed, must enroll in degree program within 5 years of hire date.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum.
• Nursery/NICU experience preferred; related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor, delivery, postpartum and neonatal patient care per unit policies.
• Maintain SBAR communications for emergencies and routine hand-offs.
• Adhere to Baby-Friendly care standards and hospital policies.
• Document care including assessment, IPOC, education, discharge planning.
• Collaborate with CUS, Nurse Manager, and Senior Director; supervise subordinates as needed.
