Job summary

Qualifications

• AS in healthcare related field preferred; ACS LION Oncology Navigation Certification within 6 months.
• 1–3 years healthcare experience and advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with EPIC, Athena, LungView and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the LDCT Diagnostic navigator to begin eligibility process and open access to care.
• Accepts LDCT program assignments to ensure timely enrollment and access to LDCT.
• Participates in Lung Cancer Leadership meetings and coordinates departmental activities as directed.
• Coordinates with Central Scheduling for appointment availability and verifies insurance authorization.
• Maintains clinical documents for the LDCT program; navigates LungView and produces outcome data.
• Maintains confidentiality; communicates appointment information to patients, providers and navigator.
• Provides clinical care coordination for the Lung Cancer Screening program.
• Tracks and reports navigation and program metrics monthly via dashboard or report card.
