Job summary

CJ's Tire & Automotive in Middle River, MD is seeking a warehouse operations supervisor to support wholesale and retail inventory flow from receipt to delivery. You will supervise and develop staff while ensuring efficient, accurate processing of orders and returns.

The role requires 2 years of management or warehouse experience, some college, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license is also needed. This is a full-time on-site position with a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Some college or post-secondary education preferred.
• 2 years management experience or equivalent CJs warehouse experience required.
• Supply chain/warehouse experience preferred.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to handle prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to work 45–50 hours/week.
• Management is responsible for opening and closing of warehouse during operating hours.
• Able to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills to interpret reports and develop strategies.
• Strong verbal communication for customer and associate relations.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage schedules to ensure productive payroll.
• Utilize Orion to maximize delivery route efficiency.
• Communicate inventory shortages to management and affected parties.
• Enter items received into the system and ensure returns are processed.
• Organize, batch and approve receipts daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

1. Summary of the Position

This position is responsible for maintaining positive customer relations between wholesale and retail operations as it relates to all inventory items. Our local distribution center manager is also responsible for managing and maintaining the flow of wholesale and retail orders from receipt through delivery, and supervising, directing, training and developing their employees.

2. Key Essential Responsibilities

• Personnel management including training, scheduling and direction of work activity. Assisting with recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees; as well as discipline and performance evaluation decisions of existing employees.
• Creating and managing schedules to ensure productive payroll.
• Utilize Orion to maximize the efficiency of the delivery routes.
• Communicate inventory shortages to management and all affected parties.
• Upon receipt of all deliveries, items received shall be entered into the computer accurately and promptly. All returns must be accounted for and processed in a timely manner to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Receipts are to be organized, batched and approved daily.
