Job summary

HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, in Linden, NJ, is seeking an LDAR Technician to monitor process equipment for emissions, calibrate analyzers, and identify leaks on an assigned route.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to operate portable analyzers, and willingness to work in varying weather conditions; physical exertion and possible extended hours are expected. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Strong communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in chemical plants or refineries is helpful, but not necessary.
• Must be willing/able to work at moderate to high levels of physical exertion for extended periods.
• Must be willing/able to work in inclement weather conditions (extreme heat/cold).
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitors components on an assigned route within an industrial facility.
• Calibrates equipment to ensure optimum analyzer performance.
• Identifies leaks and processes leak tags.
• Completes daily upload of monitoring activity and emissions reports.
• Communicates daily equipment changes with office personnel and plant staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
