Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Canonsburg, PA is seeking an Advanced Environmental Specialist to support LDAR and broader environmental compliance across NG&NGL operations. The role may be located at any MPLX site.

You will collaborate with facilities, engineering, and procurement to implement programs, perform QA/QC reviews for regulatory submissions, monitor trends, and develop practical improvements for leadership. You’ll also lead EPA Super Emitter efforts and act as DEI lead for NG&NGL.

Qualifications

• Experience with LDAR programs and environmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret and apply environmental policies.
• Strong QA/QC and data review skills.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate-level LDAR activities across all business units.
• Assist in developing and maintaining corporate LDAR procedures.
• Collaborate with facility personnel, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Compile and review regulatory compliance data and oversee QA/QC processes for LDAR programs.
• Monitor trends, identify potential issues, and develop practical solutions for leadership review.
• Prepare, support, and perform QA/QC reviews of reports submitted to regulatory agencies.
• USEPA Super Emitter Program lead
• Work collaboratively within the Environmental Department, drive results, and recommend improvements that strengthen environmental compliance across NG&NGL operations.
• Serve as the DEI Lead for NG&NGL, reporting to the Environmental Director.
