Our people make all the difference in our success.

Important Information:

  • Reports To: Mike Weed, Director of LD - NOAM
  • Location: Based in Salt Lake City Hub
  • Length of Season: This is a recurring seasonal role with an 8-9 month season, running from this October through May or June, and returning again in October year over year. This role would allow for Field work from June-September if desired.

About the role:

The LD Content Coordinator is a member of the Leadership Development Team and serves as a key execution partner in building, maintaining, and delivering field-based training experiences. Working closely with the Senior LD Specialist, Adam Coles, this role is responsible for coordinating training logistics, developing and updating content assets, and ensuring materials are accurate, accessible, and aligned across programs.

This role acts as the primary “doer” of training deliverables—executing content creation, system updates, and communications—while supporting the broader strategy and direction set by the Senior LD Specialist and LD leadership.

What you'll be doing:

Field Training Asset Coordination & Execution

  • Support the execution of BLUE training and other LD programs by coordinating logistics, schedules, materials, participation tracking, and vendor support.
  • Build, create, format, and update BLUE content and supporting assets for pre-program, live, and virtual delivery in partnership with content experts and the Senior LD Specialist.
  • Plan, draft, schedule, and distribute the BLUE communication sequence, typically three to four communications for each BLUE event.
  • Distribute BLUE surveys and consolidate, organize, and prepare survey results and feedback for review and program improvement.
  • Solicit, organize, and prepare stakeholder inputs so training materials are complete, accurate, and delivery-ready.
  • Maintain training calendars, schedules, communication timelines, file naming conventions, version control, brand standards, and quality assurance across LD assets.
  • Support migration of legacy training materials into new systems, including content transfer, formatting, and quality assurance.

Field Resource & Content Management

  • Manage the Field Resource Library, including Quick Guides, videos, protocol documents, and other field-facing resources; ensure materials are accurate, current, organized, and easy to access.
  • Own the ongoing organization and upkeep of the LD department SharePoint, routinely auditing documents and resources for accuracy, currency, naming consistency, and logical organization.
  • Coordinate the annual PPM and Handbook review, partnering with stakeholders to update content, confirm alignment, and standardize formatting.
  • Support the Field Staff AI Assistant by maintaining its resource library, reporting bugs, coordinating updates, documenting issues, and helping keep responses grounded in current materials.
  • Partner with the Senior LD Specialist and stakeholders to implement resource updates based on feedback, operational changes, product changes, and evolving field needs.

Learning Systems & Tracking Support

  • Administer the LMS, including building and configuring courses, uploading content, coordinating enrollments and assignments, supporting users, and tracking completions and required training records.
  • Coordinate Mentor Training content and enrollment, ensuring materials, participant assignments, schedules, and completion records are accurate and ready for delivery.
  • Generate and organize training reports to support program tracking, evaluation, and the ongoing maintenance of a clean, consistent learning catalogue.

Internal Communication Coordination

  • Prepare, schedule, and distribute training-related communications and announcements to field and office staff, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, timely, and aligned across departments.
  • Own coordination and development of the monthly Field Staff Update, incorporating relevant podcasts, videos, and other media while aligning content with the FE Newsletter, P&C Update, and related channels.
  • Maintain communication calendars and distribution channels for BLUE and other LD programs, coordinating program schedules, resources, and key deadlines.
  • MISC Evolve with the role as Backroads training programs and needs change and grow. Dependent on need and bandwidth, take on miscellaneous LD tasks as necessary.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Proven success as a high-performing Trip Leader with a strong understanding of the Field Staff experience; 1year of prior H&T Mentor experience is strongly preferred.
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Natural leadership abilities with the skillset to motivate others, provide constructive feedback, and lead by example.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels and across cultures.
  • Skilled at championing Field Staff success through effective coaching, guidance, performance management, and ongoing development support.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development, with a desire to continually learn and improve.
