This role develops preventive measures, diagnoses and treats illnesses, collaborates with physicians, mentors APRN students, and contributes to organization-wide quality improvement initiatives while maintaining current clinical knowledge and professional development.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited school or grandfathered by NJ Law.
• Current RN licensure in New Jersey and board certification.
• APRN required upon hire or transfer with AGPCNP-BC certification.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Experience with quality improvement and FQHC operations is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Advanced Practice Nurse FQHC Quality provides high quality, cost-effective patient care that supports established specialty practice objectives and strategic organizational goals.

The Lead Advanced Practice Nurse FQHC Quality establishes preventive measures, diagnoses and treats illnesses and disorders in a competent manner that is consistent with medical practice and joint protocols as established with the collaborating physician. This position ensures that patient care is delivered in a cost-effective manner, managing and utilizing resources optimally. By demonstrating compassion and respect for the individual, the Advanced Practice Nurse provides care that meets the customer’s expectations.

The Lead Advanced Practice Nurse FQHC Quality provides clinical instruction for Advanced Practice Nurse students and is instrumental in developing education curriculum. The Lead Advanced Practice Nurse FQHC Quality works collaboratively with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes. This position participates in quality improvement efforts organization-wide and plays an active role as a member of the appropriate divisional and FQHC committees. The Advanced Practice Nurse maintains current technical knowledge and seeks educational and professional opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency.

The Lead Advanced Practice Nurse FQHC Quality contributes towards the organization’s educational programs and teaching activities. This position participates in the peer review process to enhance clinical practice, demonstrating sound judgment and respect for colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey and certified by the State Board of Nursing. Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP Certification (AGPCNP-BC) required upon hire or transfer and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff. NRNNP,C or RNCNS,C registry unencumbered. APRN required upon hire or transfer. American Heart Association BLS required upon hire or transfer.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience in field of specialty as RN in State of New Jersey. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, blood-borne pathogens, and potential injury.

Physical demands include but are not limited to considerable stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing heavy equipment and excessive standing and walking. Lifting approximately 25-30 lbs frequently.

The department specific Assessment and Evaluation Tool lists the essential functions of this position.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This Advanced Practice Nurse collaborates with the physician and reports to the appropriate Administrator. This position also reports to Nursing or Departmental Leadership.
