Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide individual, family and group counseling. The position supports a robust IOP program and requires collaborative care with the treatment team.

The therapist will lead a group session, attend weekly IOP team meetings, and develop and monitor personalized treatment plans while ensuring high-quality, compliant care for diverse patients in outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an LCSW or LPC and able to practice within the profession per state guidelines
• Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field required
• At least 2 years of recent outpatient counseling experience required
• Dual diagnosis and crisis intervention experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group counseling sessions.
• Lead a group therapy session as part of the Mental Health IOP team and participate in weekly IOP team meetings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor clinical activities with treatment team input.

Description:

The therapist provides individual, family and group counseling sessions. Therapist will also be a part of the Mental Health IOP (Intensive Patient Program) team, which includes leading a group therapy session and participation in weekly IOP team meetings. In conjunction with the treatment team, develops individualized treatment plans, monitors all clinical activities, makes recommendations for ongoing treatment along the continuum of care and develops guidelines for future treatment or discharge from the program. Ensures compliance with quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Experience with patients of all ages, and substance use is desirable.

Required Education, Experience and Licenses/Certifications
