Job summary

NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy is a remote-only private practice based in NYC, with a special commitment to serving LGBT+ and POC communities. We are seeking an experienced LCSW to join as Clinical Supervisor. This part-time, salaried W2 role includes supervising up to four LMSW therapists, reviewing notes, and possibly running a supervision group.

The supervisor must have a track record of supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clinicians. The schedule is flexible, based on supervisee availability.

Qualifications

Job description

NYC Affiramtive Psychotherapy is a remote-only private practice based in NYC, with a special commitment to serving LGBT+ and POC communities. We proudly hire LMSW therapists and provide a supportive learning workplace for newly licensed therapists to grow into their clinical practice under the supervision of folks from the same communities we serve.

We are looking for an experienced LCSW to join our team as a Clinical Supervisor. This part-time position includes clinical supervision of up to 4 LMSW therapists who maintain a full-time caseload of individual psychotherapy patients, and potentially running one supervision group for LMSWs. The position responsibilities include providing 1 hour of clinical supervision per week, regular weekly review and signing of clinical progress notes, and occasional additional support for supervisees as needed. This position does not include maintaining a caseload of patients, so is intended for clinicians with their own practice who are interested in clinical supervision. The position is supported by the Associate Director of Practice Management.

Ideal candidates will have experience supervising LMSWs who are new to their licensure and looking to grow as professionals and clinicians. Supervisors must be familiar with working with and supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals. Candidates must be able to review and sign notes in a timely fashion, commit to weekly supervisory meetings, and enforce practice policies and procedures, with support from the practice leadership as needed.

This is a part-time salaried W2 position that pays $5k per supervisee/group per year. The schedule is flexible, based on supervisee availability and time off is as needed. Supervisors must provide clinical supervision as required by NYS Office Of Professions. Supervisors will be paneled with the practice insurance contracts under the practice tax ID.
