Job summary

NMS Labs is seeking a regular full-time Analyst 1 in the LCMS 2 department, based in Horsham, PA. The role involves preparing and analyzing samples for drugs and other toxic compounds in biological specimens, with testing performed and results reported under supervisor guidance.

The candidate will handle specimen preparation, instrument setup and daily maintenance, maintain chain of custody, and ensure quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science.
• At least 16 chem credits, including Organic Chemistry.
• Two additional chemistry courses (≥3 sem hours each).
• Ability to read/write English and communicate technically.

Responsibilities

• Handles biological specimens.
• Retains specimens in proper storage with chain of custody.
• Prepares samples for testing.
• Generates pre-analytical reports for specimen analysis.
• Prepares (Metals) and/or validates reagents, controls, and calibrators.
• Documents quality control and enters results in LIMS where applicable.
• Performs instrument setup and daily maintenance.
• Performs basic instrument troubleshooting and reports issues to a senior analyst.
• Independently performs analytical testing.
• Discards chemicals and materials safely.
• Maintains reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
