Job summary

Southeastern Integrated Care LLC in Pembroke, NC seeks a Substance Abuse Specialist LCAS/LCAS-A to provide care under supervision, educate on substance use, and promote harm reduction and abstinence to support recovery.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, coordinating group sessions, facilitating placement and detox services, and participating in a 24/7 on-call system, while safeguarding privacy and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Strong clinical skills.
• Knowledge of the population served.
• CCS, CSI, LCAS, LCAS-A, or CADC preferred.
• Valid NC driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive substance abuse assessments considering the relationship between substance use and mental health.
• Assesses and tracks beneficiary’s stages of change readiness and stages of treatment.
• Uses outreach and motivational interviewing to work with beneficiaries in early stages of change readiness.
• Facilitates access to 12-step groups and other community supports.
• Uses CBT approaches and relapse prevention for later stages of change readiness.
• Ensures treatment approaches by other providers align with the patient’s stages of change readiness.
• Facilitates Person-Centered Planning for beneficiaries.
• Facilitates group sessions.
• Takes lead role in placement in short/long-term treatment and detox services.
• Participates in a 24/7/365 first-responder on-call system; coordinates resources as needed.
• Represents the company professionally and maintains confidentiality and privacy.
