Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is essential.
• A Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) is required.
• Must possess Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement 1 (LBS1).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Promote emotional and social growth for students with disabilities.
• Plan and implement a program of study meeting individual needs.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning.
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Assist in the selection of instructional materials.
• Maintain cooperative relations with staff.
