Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Layout Engineer for our Gainesville, GA location. The role focuses on creating optimized production layouts and interfaces for varied project sizes, from single machines to full plant lines. You will ensure technical integrity and handover to Project Engineering while supporting the Sales delivery process.

This hybrid position requires up to 10% travel and strong CAD capability. You will collaborate across departments, deliver layout solutions that meet customer needs, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or technical field with equivalent experience.
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with CAD design tools or ability to learn on the job.
• Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements from Sales or support sales.
• Design the optimal layout solution for the customer.
• Provide input for ROI calculation/feasibility studies.
• Secure the technical and technological integrity of the proposed solution.
• Create a system description when needed.
• Transfer information about the solution to relevant functions.
• Order the quotation for scope and price for the customer.
• End-to-end responsibility for the solution until order finalization.
