Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation seeks a Layout Engineer in Gainesville, GA to design production systems and create optimized layouts for the sales process. You will own the order layout and collaborate with the Project Engineer during handover, with up to 10% travel and a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering or higher education in a technical field with applicable experience.
Knowledge of production techniques, materials and components.
Strong English skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer requirements from Sales or support to gather inputs.
Design the optimal layout solution for the customer.
Provide input for ROI calculations/feasibility studies.
Secure the technical and technological integrity of the proposed solution.
Create a system description when needed.
Transfer information about the solution to relevant functions per Market to Order process; prepare quotations.
Identify gaps or missing standards and communicate with Innovation/Sales Network to obtain best solutions.
Verify on-site conditions to ensure correct layout design.
Present and explain the chosen solution to internal/external customers.
Handover customer order specifics to Order Engineering.
End-to-end responsibility for the solution until finalization of the order.
