Job summary

Sysco Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Layer Picking Associate to build and stage pallets for outbound loading in a cold and dry warehouse environment. You will operate reach forklifts, follow PWMs, and ensure accurate product rotation and labeling.

Responsibilities include picking, stacking, and moving pallets, inspecting items for damage, maintaining safe work areas, and adhering to safety policies. The role requires lifting up to 50-100 lbs and certification on MHE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must work effectively in a team environment.
• Must communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Must observe and to communicate those observations about equipment operation and maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred; crown/raymond reach truck experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Layer picking and transport pallets between docks, staging areas and storage using MHE.
• Pull/put away product using reach forklift.
• Inspect product for shortages or damage and report to supervisor.
• Ensure pallets are secured with shrink wrap and rotated properly.
• Use SWMS RF equipment to locate products and retrieve accurately.
• Count and label unused cases and return to correct slots.
• Deliver stacked pallets to loading dock for orderly loading.
• Complete forklift operator certification process and maintain PWMs.
