Job Description

MGID is one of the world's leading native advertising platforms, working with thousands of publishers and brands globally.

Join a global AdTech company as a

US-qualified Senior Lawyer and become a strategic legal partner to the business.

You’ll advise on AdTech, commercial contracts, privacy, data protection, product, regulatory compliance, and disputes, while leading key negotiations and managing US legal matters.

We’re looking for a senior lawyer with strong commercial judgment, ownership, and the ability to turn complex legal issues into practical business solutions.

What will you do:
Product and business support:
  • Advise Product, Commercial, Publisher, Marketing and Operations teams on launching and commercializing advertising products and features;
  • Review product concepts, data flows, tracking technologies, partner integrations and marketing claims, and give clear recommendations that help teams move forward.
Commercial contracts and negotiations:
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements with advertisers, agencies, publishers, vendors, technology providers and other partners;
  • Maintain practical contract templates, fallback positions and guidance for recurring negotiations;
  • Identify key risks relating to liability, privacy, data use, intellectual property, confidentiality, compliance, payment and termination, and recommend workable positions.
Privacy and regulatory support:
  • Support compliance with applicable privacy, data protection, digital advertising and consumer-protection requirements;
  • Monitor material legal developments and help convert them into concise guidance and practical actions for the business.
Business partnering and risk management:
  • Provide concise, commercially balanced advice and elevate material or unusual risks to the Chief Legal Officer;
  • Work with the global Legal team and coordinate specialist external counsel when local expertise is required;
  • Contribute to legal templates, playbooks, training and process improvements that make legal support faster and more consistent.
Requirements
Who you are:
  • Law degree and authorization to provide legal advice in the candidate’s jurisdiction. A separate license or qualification to represent the company in court is not required.
  • Around 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, including commercial contracts, technology, digital advertising, privacy, data protection or other work with technology-driven businesses.
  • Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, such as MSAs, insertion orders, publisher or advertiser agreements, vendor/SaaS contracts, data processing terms, and confidentiality agreements or partnership agreements.
  • Working knowledge of privacy and data protection principles and an interest in how they apply to online advertising, tracking technologies, data use and digital products.
  • Ability to review new products and business initiatives, spot the most important legal risks and suggest practical, proportionate solutions.
  • Strong legal writing, attention to detail and negotiation skills.
  • Clear communication and ability to explain legal issues to non-lawyers.
  • Commercial, solution-oriented mindset; ownership and sound judgment; ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced international environment.
Will be a plus:
  • Experience in AdTech, MarTech, digital media, programmatic advertising, online publishing, SaaS or another technology business;
  • Experience supporting product launches or working closely with Product, Commercial, Privacy or Compliance teams;
  • Experience with US state privacy laws, CCPA/CPRA, FTC advertising principles or IAB/industry standards;
  • Experience with cross-border commercial contracts and negotiations with advertisers, agencies, publishers, technology vendors or other partners;
  • Experience with contract templates, legal playbooks, approval processes or contract lifecycle management tools;
  • Experience coordinating specialist external counsel on disputes, employment, corporate or regulatory matters;
  • CIPP/US, CIPM or another relevant privacy qualification.
