Job summary

Hutson, Inc. in South Lyon, MI is seeking a Service Technician for lawn and garden/small equipment. This role performs diagnostics and repairs, participates in EDUCATE trainings, and maintains equipment and records to support Hutson’s service model.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance per Technical Manual procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in small ag/turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on small agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Complete reports and forms for assignments.
• Record time and material usage on time cards.
• Support management in policies and goals.
