Job summary

Great Oaks Landscape Associates, Inc. is seeking a capable candidate to lead lawn maintenance crews in the Novi, MI area. The role covers cutting grass, trimming edges, weeding, and other landscape tasks, with the operation of power equipment such as lawn tractors, mowers, and trimmers.

Expect opportunities for growth and a competitive hourly rate. The position is full-time with seasonal overtime available. A valid driver's license is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in landscape, construction, or grounds maintenance.
• Valid Chauffeur's License and Medical Certification required.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Good work ethic and the ability to work well with the crew.
• Capable of operating required equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead lawn maintenance crews.
• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, weeding, landscaping and other lawn care duties.
• Operate power equipment including lawn tractors, mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, snow blowers and similar landscape maintenance gear.
• Aid in the loading/unloading and daily inspections of trucks and trailers in the AM/PM.
• Comply with all company policies and health/safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Capable of operating required equipment (zero turn mowers & walk-behinds) & landscaping tools in a safe/responsible manner.
• Time management skills.
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools & equipment required to complete various lawn maintenance tasks.
• A valid Chauffeur's License & Medical Certification required
• Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) is a plus

Salary: $22.00 per hour
