Job summary

Alt's Operation is seeking a Lawn Maintenance Crew Member to join our Verona, WI team. The role starts at $21/hr and offers year-round potential with snow work when available. You’ll work outdoors, learn a trade, and grow with a family-oriented crew that promotes from within.

You don’t need prior grass-care experience; we’ll teach you. A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work are essential. A driver’s license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge properties as part of a crew to keep routes sharp.

• Load and unload equipment; help run the route on schedule; keep gear in good condition.
• Learn the trade and grow into foreman roles with internal promotion.

What You'll Own

• Keep properties looking their best by mowing, trimming, and edging as part of your crew.
• Take pride in clean lines and healthy turf on every property you touch.
• Keep the crew moving, loading and unloading equipment and helping the route run on time.
• Take care of the gear, keeping mowers, trimmers, and tools clean and ready to run.
• Learn the trade, picking up the skills that turn a crew member into a foreman.
• Keep clients covered in winter if you want the hours: when the snow flies, crew members who want year-round work can join the snow crews.

What You Bring

-A strong work ethic and the reliability to show up and put in a full day outdoors.

-No experience required. Some mowing or turf-care background is a plus, but we'll train you.

-The physical ability to be on your feet all day and to lift and handle equipment and materials up to 50 lbs, working outdoors in all seasons.

-A flexible, season-based schedule with early starts during mowing season.

-A valid driver's license is a plus, but not required.
