LJ Inc. seeks a Lawn Maintenance Crew Member to provide high-quality lawn care services for residential and commercial properties. The role includes mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing, with safe operation of zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers. A mechanical background helps with maintenance and quick repairs of equipment.

During winter months, duties transition to general labor and snow removal, including shoveling and occasional RTV use. On-call mechanical support is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of lawn care or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to operate zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely.
• Mechanical aptitude with willingness to repair equipment.
• Flexible hours including early mornings and winter on-call shifts.
• Ability to report to job sites and follow route assignments.

Job Summary:

The Lawn Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for providing high-quality lawn care services, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and site clean-up for residential and commercial properties. This role requires the safe and competent operation of zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, and blowers. The ideal candidate has a mechanical background and supports the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of all lawn care equipment.

During the winter months, this position transitions to general labor and snow removal duties, including shoveling snow, clearing walkways, and occasionally operating an RTV as part of the downtown snow removal crew. The position also serves as an on-call mechanic to support winter operations as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing duties at client properties according to service expectations
• Operate lawn care equipment safely and efficiently, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Follow assigned route and property list to ensure timely completion of all tasks
• Clean up all debris and ensure a neat and professional appearance of each property
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment used in daily operations
• Identify and report any property issues or hazards to the Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead or Manager
• Maintain a professional demeanor and work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors
• Operate snow removal equipment as trained and authorized
• Shovel snow from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other designated areas
• Assist with snow removal and ice prevention to maintain safe walking and working conditions
• Serve as an on-call support mechanic for equipment issues during winter shifts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in lawn care or groundskeeping preferred
• Competency operating a zero-turn mower, trimmer, and blower
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment repairs
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and winter on-call shifts
• Ability to reliably report to job sites and follow route assignments
