Job summary

Castongia Tractor seeks a Lawn & Garden Service Mechanic & Equipment Delivery Driver to diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn and garden equipment while safely transporting customer equipment for service. The role requires mechanical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong customer service abilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in small engine, agricultural, or turf equipment repairs.
• 2+ years of delivery experience, including pulling and maneuvering a trailer.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to operate and diagnose a variety of lawn, garden & construction equipment.
• Experience with John Deere, Stihl, Honda Power Equipment, ATVs, skid steers, and utility vehicles helpful.
• Basic computer proficiency for service documentation and diagnostics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Minimum four years of general driving experience per insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn and garden equipment.
• Service handheld tools, walk-behind mowers, lawn tractors, skid steers, utility vehicles up to 100HP.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain service records (labor, parts, reports).
• Participate in training programs funded by the company.
• Load, transport, and unload customer equipment safely.
• Provide basic operational instructions upon delivery.
• Maintain delivery vehicles and comply with safety procedures.
