Job summary

LandPro Equipment in New York is seeking a skilled John Deere Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn and turf equipment. You’ll work in a shop with experienced technicians, performing preventative maintenance and complete pre-delivery inspections to ensure customer readiness.

You’ll use manuals and diagnostic tools, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a safe, organized work area while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs on lawn & garden equipment or similar machinery
• mechanical aptitude with knowledge of small engines and equipment systems
• ability to perform repairs and maintenance using tools and service procedures
• basic computer skills and ability to complete digital work orders
• ability to safely operate equipment used for diagnostics
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn, garden, and turf equipment
• Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on customer and dealer-owned equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Use service manuals, tools, and diagnostic systems to complete repairs accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and on time
• Track time and materials used on each repair
• Participate in ongoing training to build your technical knowledge
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and equipment setup procedures
• Install attachments and Integrated Solutions (IS) products as needed
• Work closely with teammates to support shop productivity
