Job summary

P&K Lawn & Garden in Edmond, OK seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on lawn and garden equipment. You will work under supervision, handle basic repairs, use manual procedures, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• 1+ years experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Small Engine Technician preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Good Safety Habits
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic lawn and garden equipment diagnostics and determines repairs needed.
• Performs basic lawn and garden equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
• Participates in all job-related training and development.
• Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and practices good safety habits.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
