Job summary

Koenig Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Lawn & Garden/Utility Set-up Technician for the Richmond, IN location. You will set up new equipment, diagnose repairs, and complete service with a focus on timeliness and quality.

You will communicate findings to the service manager and assist with billing and parts management. The role requires basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, safe operation of vehicles, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Relevant technician experience in a comparable industry.
• Basic knowledge of product line, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use computer system (IntelliDealer) and safely operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of new equipment and coordination of equipment for receipt and delivery.
• Diagnostics work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate.
• Complete assigned work per the estimate and schedule, achieving quality and efficiency metrics.
• Keep accurate times records by segment of work performed.
• Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity and reduce downtime.
• Advise customers professionally when required.
• Ensure billing of all parts and return unused parts promptly.
• Submit work order detail to the Service Manager after each segment; communicate issues.
• Help maintain fixed assets as required.
• Complete training per OEM & Koenig Learning Path.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
